My name is Elizabeth Arnott, and I am the fortunate owner of this little corner of Paradise. Originally from London, England, I have lived in Mexico for ten years. Having established a beautiful home in the city of Mérida, I decided that it would be wonderful to have an escape from city life in a mayan village. Having taken the first step of buying land, I then was able to fulfil my dream of constructing mayan-style houses built from stone with palapa roofs. In keeping with the mayan tradition, I installed an old-fashioned windmill, which pumps water from the well 14 meters deep. This pure water is used to fill the large swimming pool and to water the more than seventy different species of trees and shrubs I have planted.
I am very pleased to be able to offer such unusual accommodation to the visitor who is looking for something different, off the beaten track, an unforgettable experience of mayan village life.
