The small town of Obermehlen is located in an idyllic spot in a forested area about 5 km from Prüm. There you will find many shops, restaurants and cafes. You should also visit the Prüm basilica. You can take wonderful walks, cycling tours (such as the Prümtal cycling route) or car tours, to Trier for example. The Eifel zoo in Lünebach is a favourite with children.
In the winter you can ski at the Schwarzen Mann and Wolfsschlucht ski areas.
